Steve Perry and Peninsula Fireworks. Steve, class of 1979, current parent and son of a former chairman put on a pyrotechnic display that just blew us away and most of Mount Eliza for that matter! What will the Shire do for Australia Day?! He began planning his birthday gift to his School nearly a year ago, built a team and pulled in favours across the board. One of his colleagues described him as ‘one of the greatest switch men’ he has ever met. I wish you could have seen how ‘pumped’ they were as they cleared up. Thank you Steve you really did us proud.

Dear Peninsula Fireworks What an amazing display – last night’s fireworks were absolutely stunning! Each time I thought it was winding down, another shower of colour erupted into the night sky. I especially loved the sparkling white stars that glittered as they exploded and looked like hundreds of diamonds in the sky. A truly ‘feel good’ experience! I have been lucky enough to be present at some wonderful fireworks, both here and overseas, and last nights were equally spectacular. You must have been so pleased with this finale to the 50 year celebrations. Well done to all involved.

Congratulations Peninsula Fireworks, the fireworks were just amazing. In fact the best we have ever seen. A great night as you have outlined below, despite the biting cold. Who knew, it was summer!
